Tea Academy Kandy

Supporting the Future of Ceylon Tea

A Strategic Business Unit of Proprietary Planters Alliance (Pvt) Ltd

Continuity Notice

While planters.lk is undergoing a temporary technical upgrade and strengthening process, Tea Academy Kandy continues its work and community support without interruption.

Who We Are

Helping producers move beyond the sale of green leaf

Tea Academy Kandy is a practical knowledge, quality-development and entrepreneurship platform for Sri Lanka’s tea community — especially proprietary planters, small and medium-scale producers, and home-made tea processors.

Our purpose is to help them make better, more consistent tea and take part in the higher-value sections of the Ceylon Tea value chain.

The World of Home-Made Ceylon Tea

Our first International Buyer Catalogue introduces Sri Lanka’s home-made tea makers to overseas buyers. Each producer appears with its own brand, products and direct contact details, and Tea Academy Kandy coordinates introductions, samples and follow-up.

In this pilot edition Kandy Harvest Haven · Massi Tea · Dhauro International (KandureT and SANO) · EOAS Organics

PDF, 14 pages, 5.2 MB

Since its release the catalogue has been circulated in 13 countries — through Sri Lanka’s trade missions abroad and directly to specialty tea buyers. Circulation summary

Call for submissions

The next edition is open for submissions

We are collecting product catalogues and information from Tea Academy Kandy members who make home-made tea, for inclusion in the forthcoming catalogue.

We also invite our service providers — equipment, packaging, laboratory facilities, technical services and value-addition solutions for the tea sector — to submit a catalogue or service profile.

Please prepare your submission in the same format as the pilot catalogue. For help, contact Dammike.
